Subdermal Needle Electrodes

Though an older study, one of the few research studies discussing needlesticks and the use of subdermal needle electrodes during intraoperative neuromonitoring.  (IOM is one of Marea Enterprises‘ largest customer base). Other notes on this study include the sheer number of needles placed on the body at any given time pre-disposes practitioners to accidental needlesticks and the potential introduction of harmful bloodborne pathogens. Additionally the importance of allowing practitioners to be actively engaged in choosing safety products that may mitigate accidental needlesticks as required in the National Needlestick and Safety Act legislation.
