MISSION STATEMENT
To support the health and safety of healthcare workers and patients through innovative solutions addressing the endemic issue of needlesticks and sharps injuries in healthcare settings.
SUMMARY
The company develops and provides medical products that support the health and safety of healthcare workers and improve patient outcomes. Company devices and products are utilized in hospitals and health systems across the U.S. Flagship product was designed, developed and commercialized in-house. Company founder holds significant experience and background in public health practice and advocacy and in parallel the company advocates for issues affecting healthcare workers including infection prevention and needlestick and sharps safety. Additionally company advocates for patient safety including those in dialysis, neuromonitoring and in surgical settings.
HISTORY
Company established and inspired by founder’s experience working in clinic settings and witnessing the ongoing sharps and needlestick dangers experienced by healthcare workers. Founder established the company with the main aim to prototype and develop a needlestick safety product. Initial product was commercialized in late 2012. Adjunct products were brought on shortly thereafter. Advocacy activities began in parallel including research and advocacy on these topics and presentation of papers and research findings at relevant society meetings. Invitations and partnerships with advocacy societies including ASET-Neurodiagnostic Society, ASNM-American Society of Neurophysiological Monitoring, APIC-Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology, Renal Business Today and others are ongoing. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the company has developed supply capacity as a distributor of critical Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for healthcare workers and other frontline workers.
