Top 10 Health Technology Hazards in Health Care

ECRI puts out its Top 10 Health Technology Hazards in Health Care settings yearly. In the past, they have identified needlesticks and sharps in their top ten. This year, 2023, one of the hazards includes Venous Needle Dislodgement, whereby dialysis patients can bleed out if their access points are not secured.
